Our original Acer keyboard had a key missing, which I hear is rather common for Acers. I didn't do anything about it for two years, and the laptop went virtually unused. Then I saw that the price for the replacement keyboard had come down in price and was available on Amazon, so on a whim I bought it. I was concerned that it would show up without any directions and that I'd have to take it to a repair shop. But it turned out that there were some simple and clear directions which walked me through the process. It wasn't so bad. Plus, there are youtube videos online showing how to do it. If you are missing a key on your keyboard, don't put it off. Get this keyboard and fix it. There's no excuse anymore.

This item certainly replaced the the original keyboard on my 5315 with ease, however it has been over a year and a half now and already the 'Enter' key has broken off. I am not certain on longevity of this product but doesn't look like it will last much longer.
